Foreign Minister, Kuwaiti Ambassador discuss implementing mutual agreement

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Foreign Minister, Dr. Ibrahim Al Jaafari, received the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Iraq, Ghassan Al Zuawi.

A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received by IraqiNews.com cited “During the meeting, the two sides discussed the Iraq-Kuwaiti relations and the practical procedures to implement mutual agreements as well as opening the Kuwaiti consulate in Basra.”

“The Minister stressed that the Iraqi-Kuwaiti relations are witnessing noticeable progress especially after signing cooperation memorandums in different spheres, referring that Iraq seeks to boost relations with all world countries,” the statement added.

“He also called on the concerned committees to implement the mutual signed agreements to widen mutual cooperation fields and support investment in service of both peoples,” the statement continued.

“For his part, the Kuwaiti Ambassador stressed that his country is keen on enhancing its relations with Iraq, explaining that he will do his best to implement mutual agreements,” the statement concluded. /End/
