Government confiscates our paper – AMS

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Association of Muslim Scholars (AMS), which is a group of Sunni clerics, said on Saturday that governmental forces confiscated its mouthpiece newspaper, al-Basaer , from the Iraqi market. “The forces threatened to arrest those who sell, buy, or carry the newspaper,” the AMS said in a release received by IraqiNews.com news agency. It said that an act like this one is a clear violation of the freedom of the press that has been repeatedly occurring under “the four occupation governments” in Iraq since 2003.
