Hakim calls to build state based on democracy, partnership

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, called to build a state based on the democracy and the partnership among the Iraqi people.

In the national conference for the activists of the civil society held in Baghdad, Hakim said “We do need a state based on the democracy and the forgiveness among the partners rather than discrimination or domination.”

He called to “Endorse a law draft for the Organizations of the Civil Society in order to organize their performance and protect them form the interference of the government in order to form the Independent High Commission for these organizations.”
