Hakim meets religious authorities in Najaf

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, met the religious authorities in Najaf province on last Saturday.

A statement by the SIIC received by IraqiNews.com cited “Hakim met the Religious Authorities, Mohammed Saeid al-Hakim, Mohammed Ishaq al-Fayadh and Bashir al-Najafi, on last Saturday.”

“Hakim discussed the regional as well as the international situation with the religious authorities, appreciating their role in dealing with the Iraqi people and the Muslims in general to preserve their rights,” the statement concluded.
