Hakim, Sadr call to support affected families by floods
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, and the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, called the citizens and their followers to help the affected families by the floods.”
In his personal account on Facebook, Hakim said “I call the citizens, especially the follower of Shaheed al-Muhrab Trend, to do their best and support the afflicted and affected families in Iraq.”
On his part, Sadr stated in a statement “I have seen what happened due to the floods where many houses collapsed and people died. So I call the followers of the Sadr Trend and those who like the Sadrs to help the citizens in the afflicted areas where the government is busy by the political disputes and keeping the posts where I urge the officials to help the citizens or they will not be elected in the next elections.”
