Hakim, Sadr share posts, committees of Wasit PC
Wasit (IraqiNews.com) Wasit Future Province alliance comprising the Citizens bloc headed by the head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, and al-Ahrar bloc headed by the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, announced reaching an agreement over distributing the committees and the posts of Wasit Provincial Council.
The member of the alliance, Mahdi Younis Ayal, stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “During the meeting of the alliance held at the headquarters of the SIIC in Wasit, the two sides agreed upon granting the chairmanship of ten committees to the Citizen bloc, whereas al-Ahrar bloc was granted four committees.”
“The two sides have also agreed upon making the deputies of the heads of the committees from the other bloc that the heads belong to,” he added, noting that “The other committees were left to the State of Law Coalition if it would join the new alliance,” he concluded.
