Hamoudi, Swedish Ambassador discuss upgrading mutual cooperation
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Parliamentary Committee for the Foreign Affairs, Humam Hamoudi, and the Swedish Ambassador to Baghdad discussed the regional political developments and the means of upgrading the mutual cooperation between the two countries.
A statement by Hamoudi’s office cited “Both sides discussed the possibility of erecting a Swedish hospital in Iraq in coordination with the Ministry of Health in addition to receiving the Iraqi patients in the Swedish hospitals.”
“Hamoudi urged the Ambassador to grant scholarships for the Iraqi students and to encourage the university cooperation between the two countries,” the statement added.
“Hamoudi indicated the possibility of legislating laws that protect the Swedish investments in Iraq similar to what happened with Japan, Germany and Italy to encourage the Swedish distinguished companies like Volvo, and Skania as he emphasized the idea of establishing a factory for manufacturing cars in Iraq,” the statement concluded.
