IIP condemns attempt to assassinate Diyala Governor

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Islamic Party called to beware of the malicious plans on the background of the attempt to assassinate Diyala Governor Omar al-Hamiri by car bomb on Saturday morning in Baquba al-Jadida neighborhood.

The IIP cited in a statement received by IraqiNews.com “The IIP strongly condemns the assassination attempt for Diyala Governor, al-Hamiri, stressing “it seems that the criminal gangs renewed their dubious activities in Diyala province.”

The IIP called on “The security forces to be aware of the destructive schemes and punish the doers of such attempts.”

A car bomb was exploded on Saturday morning targeting Diyala Governor, Omar al-Hamiri, in Baquba al-Jadida neighborhood resulted in killing one bodyguard and a woman who was accidently near the incident place while three other bodyguards were wounded.
