IIP denounces Harbi Assassination

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Islamic Party condemned the sinful operation that led to martyrdom of Najim al-Harbi, the local elections’ nominee, describing it as serious surge of violence.

The IIP pointed out in a statement received by IraqiNews.com on Sunday “The political tensions reached utmost degree represented by the rise of the assassinations pointed to certain electoral slates’ nominees.”

“The Party called on the government to assume their real duties in protecting the Iraqis’ lives and address its poor performance,” the statement added.

The nominee, Harbi was killed on Sunday due to IED targeting his motorcade in Muqdadiya district associated to Diyala province.
