IIP holds Government responsible for death of Diyala former head of Sunni Endowment in prison

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Islamic Party held the Government responsible of the death of former head of Sunni Endowment in Diyala, Mulla Ali al-Qaraghuli, who died in Rusafa Prison in Baghdad on last Wednesday.

A statement by the IIP received by IraqiNews.com cited “The IIP condoles for Qaraghuli’s death after spending five years in prison,” emphasizing “Qaraghuli’s great role in his professional life.”

“It is unfortunate that this great man was oppressed by the occupation forces and the Government as well,” the statement added.

“Qaraghuli’s death in prison after all these years of unjust imprisonment is shameful for the government and proves the loss of the Iraqi citizen’s dignity,” the statement concluded.
