Immunity of officials involved in investigation over armament contracts to be lifted, says Zamili

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The member of the Parliamentary Investigation Committee, Hakim al-Zamili, confirmed “The immunity of the officials, who are involved in the investigations over the armament contracts, will be lifted to continue the investigations with them.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “We will follow up this case to prevent procrastinating its results.”

“Names of eight figures were referred to the Integrity Commission for investigation including Acting Minister of Defense, Sadoun al-Dulaimi, MP, Izzat al-Shahbander, of the State of Law Coalition, the Spokesman of the Government, Ali al-Dabbagh, and the Advisor of the Government, Abdul Aziz al-Badri, in addition to Lebanese businessmen, Russian businessman, Youri,” he added.

“The case was handed over to the General Attorney and the Integrity Commission that must be decisive to settle it,” he concluded.
