INA calls demonstrators to reconsider moving demonstrations in Baghdad
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi National Alliance appealed, on last Monday evening, the demonstrators of the western provinces to reconsider their decision to move their demonstrations to Baghdad on next Friday so that preserve the citizens’ lives and avoid what might damage the national unity, stability, and security in the country.
A statement by the INA cited “The demonstrations planned to start in Baghdad on next Friday will inflict serious consequences on the general security situation not only in Baghdad but in all other provinces.”
The statement followed a meeting held at head of the INA, Ibrahim al-Jaafary in presence of the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, the Vice President, Khudhayir al-Khuzai, head of the Iraqi National Congress, Ahmed al-Chalabi, the head of Badr Organization, Hadi al-Amiri, and representatives from the Sadr Trend.
“The conferees discussed the current political situation and the efforts exerted to meet the demonstrators’ demands,” the statement added.
