INA determines constitutional items of Erbil meeting, says MP
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) –MP, Abdul Salaam al-Maliki, of the State of Law Coalition stated “The Iraqi National Allaince determined the constitutional items and the unconstitutional ones in the letter resulted from the five-side meeting in Erbil.”
He said to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Tuesday “The INA had a clear idea about this issue and the adherence in all its items according to the constitution where the disputes will be settled,” pointing out “All the political blocs must adhere to this issue before the SLC and estimating a time for the national meeting.”
“Some points resulted from Erbil meeting such as the emphasis of setting a time to hold the national meeting, there should be a base to settle the disputes where the INA considered it the constitution and there should be an adherence to the proposal submitted by the INA,” he added.
Earlier, a meeting was held in Erbil which involved the President, Jalal Talabani, the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, and the head of Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, as well as the head of the Iraqiya Slate, Ayad Allawi, to discuss the political crisis.
The participants in the meeting sent a letter, including nine items, to the Iraqi National Allaince requesting Maliki to apply them within fifteen days otherwise they will withdraw confidence from him.
