Integrity Commission, UNDP discuss Counter-Terrorism

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Integrity Commission, Alaa Jawad al-Saadi discussed with a delegation of the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the cooperation with Iraq in field of combating terrorism.

A statement by the Commission cited on Wednesday “Saadi discussed during the meeting, the steps taken by the Integrity Commission to implement the requirements of the UN Agreement for Ant-terrorism which Iraq has joined in 2007.”

“The two sides stressed the seriousness of the corruption on the peoples’ lives, the safety of the international economy’s movement and the development process in the developing countries,” the statement added.

“Both sides hoped the International Conference for combating terrorism that will be held in Baghdad by end of next march, to be earnest step in this regard,” the statement concluded.
