Investigative commission: $ 800 million commissions of Iraqi-Russian armament deal
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The parliamentary commission tasked to investigate the corruption accompanied the armament deal concluded earlier with Russia revealed that “The commissions of the deal from both the Iraqi and Russian sides is $ 800 million.”
Member of the commission, Haval Kwistani told Iraqi News “The rate of the commissions of the Iraqi side reached 10% from the total sum of the deal which is $ 4,200, 000, 000, and the same rate for the Russian side.”
“The total cost, then, is $ 800 million i.e. $ 400 millions for each side which is more than what was reported of $ 195 milions,” he added.
“These data were received during the concerned commission’s investigations and through the testimonies of the negotiating delegation’s members,” Kwistani concluded.
