Iran’s FM arrives in Sulaimaniya
SULAIMANIYA / IraqiNews.com: Iranian Foreign Minister Manuchehr Mottaki arrived in the northern Iraq Kurdish city of Sulaimaniya on Thursday on an official visit in which he met Iraqi Kurdistan Region President Massoud Barazani, a spokesman said. “Mottaki is leading an Iranian cultural and economic delegation. He was received at the city airport by the region’s Vice President Kousert Rassoul Ali,” Meriwan Massoud, the vice president’s media secretary, told IraqiNews.com news agency. The Iranian top diplomat arrived earlier on Thursday in Arbil along with Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari and headed for the Salah al-Din resort city, where he met with Barazani and other Kurdistan Regional Government Kurdistan RegionG) officials. Mottaki had arrived in Baghdad on Wednesday (Feb. 11) and met with Iraqi President Jalal Talabani and Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki and had a session of talks with Iraqi Trade Minister Abdelfalah al-Sudani on trade exchange between the two countries.
