Iraq to make $1.1B armored vehicles orders
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The U.S. army could sell armored vehicles worth $1.1 billion to Iraq, according to Phoenix Business Journal. “The Pentagon notified Congress Friday that the Iraqi government wants to buy 400 Stryker armored vehicles or 400 M117 Armored Security Vehicles (ASVs),” the journal said on Friday (2/1). “The Iraqis are building up their military and security forces in anticipation of a reduced U.S. presence after Barack Obama takes office,” it noted. “The U.S. Air Force has also told Congress that Iraqis have shown interest in buying $210 million worth of Texan aircraft manufactured by Hawker Beechcraft,” it added.
