Iraq to send $5 million to support Somalia

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s Council of Ministers agreed to send $5 million to support the reconstruction efforts in Somalia, the official spokesman for the Iraqi government said on Thursday. “The Finance Ministry will coordinate with the Foreign Ministry to send the money to the support Somalia fund, controlled by the Arab League, to benefit from it in certain projects,” Ali al-Dabagh said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “The initiative comes within Iraq’s relations with other countries in all circumstances these countries face under the Arab League umbrella,” he added.
