Iraqi FM in Damascus to hold talks with Syrian officials

Iraq-Syria BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari arrived in Damascus on Tuesday for talks with Syrian officials on bilateral relations between the two countries, according to Syrian news agency SANA. “Minister Zebari was received at Damascus International Airport by Syrian Foreign Minister Walid al-Moallem, a number of heads of departments at the Syrian Foreign Ministry, and the Chargé d’affaires at the Iraqi Embassy in Damascus,” SANA added. The Iraqi Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Zebari headed for Damascus carrying a message from Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki to Syrian President Bashar Assad. SH (P)/SR   1
