Iraqi parlt speaker meets Kuwaiti counterpart, foreign minister on bilateral ties
Kuwait (IraqiNews.com) – Kuwait’s top lawmaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim held on Monday talks with his Iraqi counterpart Mohammad Al-Halbousi on means of bolstering relations between the two countries.
The talks tackled means of promoting bilateral ties, particularly in the economic and parliamentary fields, besides exchanging views on issues of mutual concern.
Halbousi, accompanied by a parliamentary delegation, started a three-day official visit to Kuwait on Saturday.
Meanwhile, the top Iraqi lawmaker held a meeting with Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah on plans to improve bilateral ties, as well as the latest regional and international developments.
Halbousi praised Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber AlSabah’s commitment to ensuring a conflict-free Middle East and thanked him for aid supplies dispatched to Iraq.
The talks were held in the presence of a number of Kuwaiti diplomats.
