Iraqi Speaker of Parliament receives official invitation to visit Brussels

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Chairman of the House of Representatives Saleem al-Jubouri received on Thursday an official invitation to visit the Belgian capital Brussels.
Jubouri‘s Office said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “Al-Jubouri received in his office, today, the Belgian non-resident Ambassador to Iraq, Hendrik van de Velde,” noting that “During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and ways of serving the interests of both countries. The two sides discussed the issue of human rights and international efforts to support Iraq in its war against terrorism.”
Al-Jubouri stressed, “The need to promote the common interests to confront ISIS risks,” praising at the same time “Belgium and European support for Iraq in the fight against terrorism.”
