Iraqi stand on Syria “disappointing”, MP

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com:  Iraqiya bloc MP Khalid al-Alwani described the Iraqi government stand on the Syrian revolution as “disappointing”, pointing out that non-voting is “unconvincing” for economic relations.   In a statement issued by his office today, copy received by IraqiNews.com, added that “the Man’s desire for freedom and decent life is greater than political or economic relations”.   He called for “supporting the Syrian people aspirations for freedom and independence”.   Iraq abstained against imposing sanctions on Syria by the Arab League for the current Syrian actions against the people wishing for change.
