Iraq’s Deputy PM discuss joint relations with U.S. Ambassdor to Baghdad
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq ’s Deputy Prime Minister, Saleh al-Mutlaq, has discussed in Baghdad on Tuesday the joint Iraqi-American relations with the U.S. Ambassador to Baghdad , James Jeffery and an accompanying delegation, according to a statement by Mutlaq’s office. “Mutlaq has confirmed necessity for action towards the settlement of the U.S. suspended issues towards the Iraqi people, after the U.S. military withdrawal from Iraq ,” the statement said. He called on necessity for “opening new horizons of cooperation between both sides, in civilian and services sector, the development of potentials and strengthening joint cooperation, in such a way that achieves the joint interests of the Iraqi and American peoples, on equal basis.” “Mutlaq and Jeffery have discussed the joint relations between Baghdad and Washington and means for interpreting the items of the Joint Strategic Agreement, signed between both countries and means for improving basic relations, the activation of investment and development sectors, in such a way that serves the activity of the youth and improves the living standard of the Iraqi families,” the statement said.
