Iraq’s Parliament Speaker calls on people to unite against “conspiracies.”

KARBALA / IraqiNews.com: Iraq‘s Parliament Speaker, Usama al-Nujeifi, has called on his people on Saturday, to “unite in the face of the current “conspiracies,” being planted against them. “Our people must unite to face the conspiracies, planned against them, in order to avoid their threats, especially that Iraq‘s enemies are expected to exploit the departure of the American forces, in order to enter into a direct confrontation with us,” Nujeif said, in a speech he delivered during his current visit to Karbala. “We have to protect the security of our country, as well as the properties and honors of our people..We must remember the role of the great (Religious) Authorities, especially (Ayatollah) Ali al-Sistani, to stand against the conspiracies, planned against our people,” he added. Nujeifi had visited Karbala on Saturday, leading a 30-Legislature delegation, representing the National and al-Iraqiya Coalitions, as well as a number of cabinet ministers, on an inspection visit, aimed at rising the level of services presented to the citizens, following similar visits to Najaf, Basra and Ninewa Provinces.
