Iraq’s Parliament Speaker congratulates Libyans for success of their Revolution
BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s Parliament Speaker, Usama al-Nujeify, has congratulated the Libyan people for the success of their Revolution and getting rid from their dictatorial regime, calling on those people to “safeguard their freedom and give more attention for the interest of their Homeland than personal interests,” according to a statement issued by Nujeify’s office on Tuesday. The statement was issued in the background of the success of the Libyan Revolution and the arrival of the Revolutionary forces to the Libyan Capital of Tripoli, cornered Muammar Gaddafi in Bab al-Aziziya and handing over the power in Libya to the Transitional Council, led by Mustapha Abdul-Jalil. “There stands another head among the tyrants of Arab dictatorship, falling with high voice, and another people scoring their freedom, as the Arab Spring Machine marches forward to chop further heads of corruption,” Nujeify said. “The Libyan people have refused to live annihilated, through the efforts of their free sons, despite the vicious power that continued for 40 years of the tyrant power.. Thank God for their victory and blessings for that victory,” he added. In conclusion, Nujeify called on the Libyan people to “unite, resent selfish personal feelings and serve the interest of their Homeland, spreading love, peace, happiness, mercy and safety among the people.” SKH (IT) 307
