Iraq’s Shiite Sadr Trend’s demonstration ends with violaitions

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The demonstration of al-Mahdi Army, belonging to the Shiite Al-Sadr Trend, which demanded the complete withdrawal of the remaining U.S. forces from Iraq , has ended in Baghdad on Thursday afternoon, without any violations, Martyr al-Sadr office had announced.   “Al-Mahdi Army has ended its demonstration in east Baghdad’s al-Sadr city, attended by 2,000 military companies, each comprising 200 people,” a spokesman for Martyr al-Sadr told IraqiNews.com news agency, adding that “the demonstration had ended with peace and without causing an violations.”   The demonstration began at 08:00 am local time, with a military parade, participated by tens of thousands of demonstrators in east Baghdad ’s al-Sadr city, amid strict security measures.   “Al-Sadrist Trend’s military companies, all wearing black dress and wrapped with the Iraqi flag, had launched their march from al-Fallah Street in east Baghdad’s al-Sadr city, whilst the Iraqi Army had closed all the main streets of the city and spread in its by-roads and districts,” IraqiNews.com correspondent said.   The demonstration was also participated by thousands of citizens, who came from central and southern Iraq ’s provinces, that took place on the occasion of the birthday of Fatimatul-Zahraa, Prophet Mohammed’s daughter and wife of his cousin, Imam Ali-Bin Abi-Taleb, in the 7 th century AD.   SKH (IT) 746
