IS MP: Political process to be collapsed due to political disputes

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mutashar al-Samarai, of the Iraqiya Slate described the political process as being “Threatened to be collapsed”.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he stated “The political process in Iraq is in danger and threatened to be collapsed due to the political disputes and the security breaches.”

“The political blocs need to show some concessions and conduct dialogue in order to sustain stability and settle the disputes without marginalizing any political constituent and to support the democratic system in Iraq,” he concluded.

The political scene witnesses recently a growing movement to solve the political crises started with the holding the five-side meeting in Erbil.

The head of Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, has participated in Erbil meeting which involved the President, Jalal Talabani, the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, and the as well as the head of the Iraqiya Slate, Ayad Allawi, to discuss the political crisis.

The participants in the meeting sent a letter, including nine items, to the Iraqi National Alliance requesting Maliki to apply them within fifteen days otherwise they will withdraw confidence from him.
