Issawi calls to establish advanced board for anti-drugs in Iraq
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Aifan al-Issawi, member of the Parliamentary Security & Defense Committee, stressed the need to build strong and sophisticated directorate for anti-drugs, calling to tighten the punishment against the dugs traffickers to curb this phenomenon.
Issawi mentioned in a statement received by IraqiNews.com “There is no influential board for anti-drugs in Iraq, since this trade was not there in the country before 2003.”
He continued saying “But after 2003, Iraq witnessed openness on the other countries, this in turn led to spread of this phenomenon and entry of drugs encouraged by foreign agendas.”
