Jaafari accuses Qatar of feeding sectarian divisions in Iraq

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari announced that his country insists on rejecting the Qatari interference in its internal affairs, stressing his opposition to organizing the political conference on the Iraqi issues and receiving the Sunni opposition figures from the Iraqi Baath party of Saddam Hussein and Sunni militants.
Al-Jaafari said: “The conference is not a positive message for the Iraqi people. It does not serve our relations and Arabic relations in general.”
Noteworthy, Doha hosted a political conference on the Iraqi issue without the knowledge of the Iraqi government, with the participation of” some of the wanted figures to the Iraqi judiciary on charges of supporting terrorism.
Iraq accuses the government of Qatar of supporting terrorism in the country and financing ISIS and the dissolved Baath Party.
