Jaafari calls to grant woamn fair rights

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Head of the Iraqi National Alliance Ibrahim al-Jaafari stressed that “The equation between power and honesty are two pillars in each challenge faces the woman.” Jaafari said in a speech during his participation in the first International Conference for Woman and Islamic Awareness held in Tehran “As the woman represents half the society, she should be half of the institution and should take her normal size in the Government and Parliament.” “We have to be mobilized with a new thinking everywhere we go which is Awareness,” he addeds, noting that “We should have self-awareness and the awareness of the others,” the INA’s Head stressed. He concluded by saying “We appeal to the new Governments of the so-called Arab Spring to prove that they are efficient in managing the State and must bear the mentality of the State rather than the mentality of opposition.”
