Jaafary highlights need to open urgent investigation over repeated escape of prisoners

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Iraqi National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Jaafary emphasized the necessity to launch urgent and precise investigation to reveal the real reasons behind the escape of prisoners phenomenon.

Gunmen had attacked on last Sunday the Taji and Abu Ghraib prisons using IEDs, mortars and machine guns in an attempt to free the prisoners.

A statement by the INA cited “Jaafary received on last Monday a delegation from the Kurdish Taghyeer Movement headed by the MP lateef Mustafa where they discussed the most prominent political and security developments.”

He called “the security forces to mobilize all efforts and capacities to confront the repeated terrorist attacks, urging to open urgent investigation to unveil the reasons behind the escape of prisoners phenomenon to bring the culprits to justice.”

Jaafary called to preserve “the brotherly ties and adopt dialogue and exchange the views in a civilized manner to help support the parliament performance and speed up endorsing the laws.”
