Jaafary, Kurdish delegation discuss political situation

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Iraqi National Alliance, Ibraheem al-Jaafary, received a Kurdish delegation on last Saturday night.

A statement by Jaafary’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “The Kurdish delegation that was headed by Mihsin al-Sadoun, involved representatives of the Kurdistani Alliance, Taghyeer Movement, the Islamic Group, the Islamic Union.”

“Both sides stressed preserving the democratic political process and depending on the democratic means to accomplish the demonstrators’ demands,” the statement added.

“Both sides emphasized supporting unity and respecting the freedom of expression and the right for conducting demonstrations away from sectarianism,” the statement concluded.
