Jabouri heads to EU, US to obtain security and humanitarian support

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – On Tuesday, House Speaker Saleem al-Jubouri left Baghdad on an official visit to a number of important countries in the European Union, as well as visiting the United States. Jabouri plans to discuss important files and obtain international support and humanitarian support for Iraq in its war against terrorism.
Jubouri’s office said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com, “This morning, House Speaker Salim al-Jubouri has left Baghdad heading to a number of important countries in the European Union,” noting that, “al-Jubouri scheduled to visit the Vatican to meet with Pope Francis, as well as Bishop Gallagher, Vatican Secretary of State and Cardinal Tauran ans the head of the Pontifical Council for Inter-religious Dialogue. ”
“al-Jubouri will go after this visit to the Belgian capital Brussels to meet with the leaders of the EU countries and launch the humanitarian response plan for Iraq, as well as reconstructing the areas which were affected by terrorist and military operations in Iraq,” Jubouri’s office added.
