Kurdistan Region expresses readiness to send delegation to Baghdad over 2013 Budget
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Kurdistan Regional Government announced its readiness to dispatch a delegation to Baghdad, if needed, to discuss the issue of the 2013 General Budget.
Safeen Dezae the Kurdistan RegionG Spokesman said in a statement to the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, on Monday “The Kurdistan RegionG is in constant contact with the Committee tasked with resolving the differences about the Budget.”
“According to an agreement signed between Erbil and Baghdad in September 2011, the federal government must pay the charges of the foreign oil companies operating in Iraq,” he added, noting that “A part of these charges were paid and the rest of the amount which is about IQD 150 billion is not paid yet.”
“The Budget law draft does not include an item about paying the charges of the oil companies,” he concluded.
