Kurdish movement calls for practical steps to save the region from crisis
(IraqiNews.com) Kurdistan – The Islamic Movement of Kurdistan announced on Saturday, that the Kurdistan Regional Government does not seek to take advantage of the reform projects presented by the political parties, while called upon taking practical steps to “save” the region and warned that the region will face a significant risk in the event of the failure to take new steps to address its problems.
The movement’s spokesman Abdullah Warti said in a press statement obtained by IraqiNews.com, “The Kurdistan Regional Government does not want to take advantage of the reform projects submitted by the political parties,” adding that, “The Kurdish political parties, including the Islamic Movement, have provided reform projects regarding the current circumstances in the region,” noting that “The reform process is easy if there is a political will by the ruling parties.”
Warti called the concerned authorities to “Take practical steps to save the region from the political and economic crises,” warning that “The region will face a significant risk in the event of the failure to take new steps to address its problems.”
