Kurdistan MPs to leave Baghdad
(IraqiNews.com) BAGHDAD — A well placed source in the Iraqi Parliament informed that owing to security reasons, Kurdish members of the Iraqi parliament will return to Kurdistan Region.
Adding details, the source said, “The Kurdish MPs in the Parliament were asked by the head of the Kurdish bloc to leave Baghdad immediately as the security situation in Baghdad is quite vulnerable.”
“The security situation in Baghdad is expected to intensify as the Shiite militias, affiliated to the former Iraqi PM Nuri al-Maliki, will carry out a military exercise in Baghdad. The MPs, however, will return to Kurdistan Region after the parliamentary session on Wednesday,” the source added.
