Lakash calls to summon Justice Minister

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mohammed al-Lakash, of the Citizen Alliance called to summon the Justice Minister, Hassan al-Shimmari, over the escape of the prisoners from Taji and Abu Ghraib prisons.

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, he said “I request the parliament to investigate Shimmari in an urgent session over the escape of the prisoners from Taji and Abu Ghraib prisons.”

This call is due to the escape of about 1000 prisoners form Taji and Abu Ghraib prisons due to an armed attack by some gunmen using Improvised Explosive Devices, missiles and machineguns on last Sunday.
