Larijani to arrive in Najaf Tuesday afternoon

Najaf (IraqiNews.com) Najaf province announced an expected visit to the Iranian Shura Council Speaker, Ali Larijani in this afternoon to Najaf province.

The director of Najaf Provincial Council’s media office, Ziyad al-Salihi, told IraqiNews.com that “Larejani is expected to arrive at Najaf at this afternoon, where the agenda of the visit includes meeting the Religious Authorities in Najaf and visit the holy Shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him).”

Earlier, an informed source has reported to IraqiNews.com on last Monday “Larejani will visit Baghdad on next Wednesday where he will meet with the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Malki, the head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, and the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, to discuss the Iraq-Iran bilateral relations and developments of the regional events most notably the Syrian crisis.
