League of Arab States denounces Turkish bombardment in northern Iraq

(IraqiNews.com) Baghdad – The League of Arab States denounced on Wednesday the Turkish bombardment of northern Iraq, demanding it to respect Iraq’s sovereignty over its territory.
The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Nabil al-Arabi, said in a statement, “We express our condemnation of the Turkish bombardment on northern Iraq areas,” urging Turkey to “respect Iraq’s sovereignty over its territory.”
Al-Arabi stressed on the “de-escalation, and the use of understanding between the two countries to cooperate in order to address all matters relating to maintaining security and stability of the two countries.”
