Local official: Minister of Agriculture grants his province more than its share

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Agriculture Committee within the Provincial Council of Diwaniya province, Ali Mani, urged “The Minister of Agriculture to keep away from confesionalism in distributing the funds allocated for the provinces within the course of the Agricultural initiative.”

He stated to IraqiNews.com “The Minister, Iz al-Din al-Dawla, who belongs to a specific province, grants his province more than its share allocated within the initiative.”

“This is a sectarian behavior,” he added, noting that “The Minister allocate 55 billion IQD for Diwaniya while another province that is not specialized in agriculture received 316 billion IQD.”
