Maliki, Iranian Secretary General of SCNS discuss regional challenges

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, discussed with the Iranian Secretary General of the Supreme Council of the National Security, Ali Shamkhani, the mutual relations and regional challenges.

A private report received by IraqiNews.com cited “Shamkhani, while receiving Maliki assured that terrorism is the first danger that threatens the area and those who established it.”

“Shamkhani assured that the economic cooperation between Iran and Iraq to consolidate the joint interests and security of the two countries,” the reported added.

“For his part, Maliki praised the big affect of the two countries on the political situation, assuring that facing the crises and sustaining security are important for the region,” the report concluded.
