Maliki, Iranian VP discuss bilateral relations

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki on Saturday met with Iranian Vice President Parviz Davudi means to push bilateral relations ahead and agreed to increase the volume of trade exchange between the two countries, according to a release issued by al-Maliki’s office. “Exchanging visits means bilateral relations are heading toward more development in all fields,” Maliki was quoted as saying in the release that was received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “Accomplished security achievements offered an opportunity to give more efforts aiming at accelerating the rebuilding process in Iraq,” he added, calling on activating the two countries’ joint committees. Earlier today (Jan. 3), Maliki arrived in the Iranian capital Tehran, accompanied by a delegation that comprised several ministers. MH (P)/AmR 1
