Maliki: Speicher to be base for liberating Iraqi lands from ISIL
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Prime Minister and the Commanding General of the Iraqi Armed Forces Nouri al-Maliki visited Speicher Miliatry Base in Salah-il-Din province and met the security leaderships in the base on Sunday.
A statement by Maliki’s office received by IraqiNews.com quoted Maliki as saying “the Iraqi Forces supported by volunteers are achieving victories every day in Salah-il-Din, Anbar or Diyala and some areas of Nineveh Valley,” stressing “We should not allow the terrorists control an inch from the Iraqi lands.”
Maliki confirmed “Speicher base will be the start line for liberating Mosul city,” highlighting the high spirits of the Iraqi fighters which caused fear for the terrorists.
PM Maliki promised to submit all kinds of possible military and logistic support for the Command Center in Speicher Military Base.
