Maliki to meet Larijani next Wednesday

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, and other Iraqi key officials will meet the Iranian Shura Council Speaker, Ali Larijani, during his expected visit to Iraq.

Informed source stated to IraqiNews.com “Larijani will visit Iraq next Wednesday as he will meet Maliki and the head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, as well as the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, to discuss bilateral relations and the regional updates headed by the Syrian file.”

“Larijani will visit Baghdad coming from Najaf province where he will visit the religious authorities and visit the Holy shrine of Imam Ali Peace Be Upon Him as he will visit Karbala province to perform the rituals of visiting the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussien and Abbas Peace Be Upon Them,” the source assured.

“Larijani conducted visits to a number of regional countries including Turkey and Lebanon recently.
