Mayahi calls CoM to hold its next meeting in Diwaniyah

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Aziz al-Mayahi, of the White bloc called the Council of Ministers to hold its next meeting in Diwaniyah province.

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, he said “The report of the Ministry of Planning over Diwaniyah province as being the poorest province in Iraq, gives a clear impression over what we have already stated about the lack of services in the province.”

“Diwaniyah province lacks the economic income such as the Petrodollar, tourism or the border inlets as the other provinces and its only income after the general budget is agriculture that became useless due to the bad situation of the agricultural lands and the dryness,” he added.

“The services in Diwaniyah are semi-lacked in addition to its schools that are in a very bad condition where Diwaniyah became the poorest province in Iraq,” he pointed out, stressing the necessity of “Holding the next meeting of the CoM in Diwaniyah to discuss the report of the Planning Ministry over the ratio of poverty in the province and the lack of services to save the citizens from the miserable situation that cannot last for a long time.”

He called “The service ministries to visit Diwaniyah province and some of its areas such as al-Sadr quarters to be acquainted with the complete lack of services.”
