Ministerial plan to receive former army officers

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Ministry of Defense on Sunday said that a committee has been set up to receive former army officers who are currently outside Iraq, adding that they will either be returned to service or pensioned off. “Today, Minister of Defense Abdelqadir Mohammed Jassem discussed with the head of the Implementation and Follow-Up Committee for National Reconciliation (IFCNR) the issue of the former Iraqi army…,” according to a ministerial statement received by IraqiNews.com. “Specialized committees have been set up to receive former army officers who are outside Iraq, particularly those in Syria, Jordan, Yemen and Egypt…,” the statement added.
