MoE accuses MoO of being behind stop of electricity power stations
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Electricity accused “The Oil Ministry of being behind stopping of a number of electricity generating units due shortage in fuel provided to these units.
A statement by the Ministry cited “The crisis of the frequent interruption of crude oil provided to the electricity power stations will be ended permanently by the next September.”
“The Oil Ministry suffers a leak in the strategic oil pipeline which forced the Ministry to stop pumping oil till fixing it, “Noting that “This fault will temporarily affect the electricity stations,” the statement added.
“The MoE Spokesperson, Musab al-Mudaris, assured the stop in providing the fuel to our power stations will lead to halt other electricity power units, without seeing any measures taken by the MoO to solve this crisis,” the statement concluded.
