MoT denies involvement of Deputy Minister in corruption

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Transport denied the involvement of the Deputy Minister of Transport for Administrative Affairs in corruption cases of taking bribe from a company to facilitate its bidding process with the Ministry.

A statement by the media office received by IraqiNews.com cited “The reports of a certain satellite channel through its subtitle are groundless.”

“The Deputy Minister is an honest figure and against the bribed companies,” the statement continued.

“The channel should reveal the names of the claimed company that called for a bribe to facilitate its bids as claimed otherwise the Ministry will sue the Channel at the Iraqi courts,” the statement concluded.
