MP urges Syria to block gunmen infiltration into Iraq

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: An Iraqi legislator called Sunday on Syria to block the infiltration of gunmen into Iraq “like it does with the Israel-occupied Golan Heights .” “The Syrians should deal with the Iraqi scene like they are dealing with the Golan scene as far as blocking the infiltration of gunmen. For nearly 35 years, no single gunman infiltrated through the Syrian borders to the Golan,” said Jaber Habeeb Jaber, the Iraqi Parliament’s foreign relations committee member, in statements to IraqiNews.com news agency. “The number of gunmen sneaking from Syrian territories into Iraq has gone down, but it is still below the required level,” he said.
