Musawi calls Maliki to strictly punish accomplices in escape of prisoners
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Salman al-Musawi of the State of Law Coalition called the Commander General of the Armed forces, Premier, Nouri al-Maliki to adopt strict measures against those collaborated in the scrape of prisoners process of Abu Ghraib and Taji prisons in Baghdad.
Maliki had instructed to confine each of Commander of army Fourth Division and Commander of Police Regiment tasked to secure Abu Ghraib prison as well as his Assistant along with the Police Intelligence employees inside the prison and the policemen in charge of protecting the prison in addition to dismissing Director General of Prisons Department and bringing him to justice.
Musawi criticized some politicians’ request to compensate the Qaeda members who were killed during the attack on Abu Ghraib prison and punish their killers.
Some of those involved in the armed attack on Taji and Abu Ghraib prisons resorted to release accusations, thinking this would save them from the investigation and punishment,” he stressed.
